Happy Tuesday Friends!
I have a super cute Halloween sign to share with you today… I’ve also created another FREE printable so you can make one for yourself! I’ve made several different versions of the printable to accommodate your household.
Ok, Ok here it is….Isn’t adorable? I love, love, love it!!!
Here is how I put it together:
I used a 2×12 scrap of wood I had hanging out in the garage. I wanted the sign to be sturdy so it would stand up on its own. If you want to hang it up you could use a different size of wood like a 1×12. I cut my piece at 11″inches.
Next I sanded the edges using my Ryobi Corner Cat Finish Sander using 220 grit sand paper. Megan and I both have one and we love them!
After I sanded and wiped off my wood I used two different spray paints.
The first layer I used spray paint in and Ivory finish. I only focused on the edges since this is the only part you will see.
Be sure the Ivory layer is dry before adding the black layer. I used a matte finish for the black. I was going for the worn look! I only used one coat of black but I did let the front dry and sprayed the back.
After the paint was completely dried I used my sander with 80 grit sand paper and distressed the edges.
I used furniture nail heads to adhere the sign to the wood.
I hammered one at each corner. {Please excuse the ugly hammer}
I love how it turned out!
I am giving one of these cute Halloween signs made by me away! The winner will be able to choose which version they would like.
Enter to win below! Good Luck.
